After leaving school Erick Joosten worked as a Cabinet Maker building his experience and working for varying cabinet making companies to finally running a Cabinet Making business for a builder, until, in 1992 he decided he wanted to run his own company. So with his wife Cheryl Joosten - E & C Joinery Pty Ltd was born and the rest they say is history.

From humble beginnings, with a staff of 1, E & C Joinery now employs 15 staff of cabinet makers, apprentices, installers, truck drivers and office staff.

Erick still finds the time to meet with clients, architects and builders personally to create and design their joinery works and custom build the joinery works to their specifications. It's one of the aspects of the company that Erick enjoys the most.

Our Story

E & C Joinery is a family run business. Erick is the founder of the company, managing the the company along with his wife Cheryl running the office. Their son Tyler completed his 4-year apprenticeship with the company and now holds a Certificate in Small Business Planning, Cert IV in Building and Construction and a Diploma of Building & Construction (Building). Cheryl & Erick's daughter works at the company as a casual in administration and has her Bachelor of Education working as a casual relief teacher in Primary schools while her and her husband Brent raise their 2 children. Tyler's wife Jaymee completes the team at E & C working in HR and payroll part-time.

E & C Joinery prides itself on employing apprentices in the cabinet making field and training them with our company teaching them the 'E & C' way, and then have them stay on with our company and learn all aspects of cabinet making.

Most of our employees have been with our company for over 15 years. We are proud of our staff and the quality of work they produce.

CHERYL JOOSTEN, JAYMEE JOOSTEN & CHANTELLE HUGHES

Tyler completed his 4-year apprenticeship with E & C Joinery and now holds a Certificate in Small Business Planning, Cert IV in Building and Construction and a Diploma of Building & Construction (Building). Tyler works directly with architects and builders to bring their designs and ideas to a reality and operates the CAD system for E & C. Tyler became a Director of the company in 2021.

LEE SHARP

Lee started with E & C Joinery in 1998 as a first year apprentice. After Lee completed his four year cabinet making apprenticeship he stayed on with our company and has worked his way through all aspects of our joinery constructions and design.

Lee has a wealth of experience and currently undertakes projects liasing with clients and architects.
